GWCC Fall Fling is in the books! Our heartfelt thanks to all who came and enjoyed our last set dancing weekend in Rehoboth Beach! We had a wonderful time — great music, great dancing, great friends from near and far — and hope you did too! We hope you’ll join us in Shepherdstown, WV on April 19-20, 2024 for our final Spring Fling, where we dance in a beautiful ballroom in the historic War Memorial Building in the center of town. Sponsored by the Greater Washington Ceili Club, Fall Fling is one of America’s premier Irish set dancing weekends, featuring world class set dance instruction, two ceilis with live music, and a Saturday Social Hour & Session with the Band, all at the beautiful Atlantic Sands Hotel & Conference Center; right on the beach in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware.
After canceling our 2020 event, significant modifications from previous years were necessary for us to gather safely in 2021. Even with the major modifications to the program, participants — though fewer — were happy to dance and see one another again. We are planning for 2023 to be another weekend that will look more like previous events, with Pádraig and Róisín returning to teach. Please mark your calendars now for October 13 - 15 and plan to join us at the Atlantic Sands, right on the beach in Rehoboth.
